Well said. Thanks. My experience of the Boston police at 28 was secondary to my childhood in NYC. To me it seemed an even more focused hatred because it somehow superimposed a provincisalism atop the racism (or folded it together). Even after 25 yrs in four locations in New England, I never altered my opinion of that comparative provincialism. Anyway, that reactive mixture of foreign and Black was truly vile. But guess what, white Americans, I've since encountered something similar out West; so I guess I shouldn't be too hard on the BPD.
